"It's no wonder designers are easily fascinated by water repellent spray, right? Anyway, can't it fog automatically?"
These plates were masked in the shape of the Moon, then put the water repellent spray on. And when it turns on fogging on these plates, it has water in the shape where was not applied the water repellent spray, and it highlighted the shape of the Moon. Then the pale blue lights fixed around these plates light up water drops from the side, and it glitters like a diamond with a brilliant cut.
"It's no wonder designers are easily fascinated by water repellent spray, right? Anyway, it needn't turn on and off the lights."
These images came from the Moonlight reflected on the puddle, or the traffic lights and car headlamps on the wet pavements. I came upon this idea when I took a walk to the nearest convenience store at midnight. It was the night after the summer rain shower.
"It's no wonder designers are easily fascinated by water repellent spray, right? Anyway, I can imagine the scenery that you wanted to depict after I listened to your explanation."
The requirement of this assessment submission was to create prototypes of something as many as possible. In my university, professors tended to teach us with a don't-think-feel type method, and we ought to learn design through practice. And I (like most of the students) almost ignored that requirement. It's strange; however, the requirements are considered relatively unimportant things at my university, like a sticker of the Nissin's instant noodle. If you want to use it, go on. If you don't, it's still ok.
"It's no wonder designers are easily fascinated by water repellent spray, right? Anyway, I want to smoke now."
" It's no wonder designers are easily fascinated by water repellent spray, right?" So said a professor repeatedly during the class, as if the politicians say "I am solely to blame for it" at the congress.
"It's no wonder designers are easily fascinated by water repellent spray, right? Anyway, can anybody lower the temperature on the air conditioner? Too hot. I'm sweating in my face like this artwork. Just kidding."
In fact, water repellent spray is interesting to designers; my professor created artwork using that spray, so did Takram or Hara Kenya. Probably, that professor tried to warn me not to be easily influenced by those trends. Some designers jump at AI or 3D printers just because those became popular.
"It's no wonder designers are easily fascinated by water repellent spray, right? Anyway, it's about time. Let's move on."
My professor usually said few words during a review and looked at artwork closely or listened carefully to what other professors spoke. He didn't speak a word at this time like usual. That was several years later that he commented on my artwork. He didn't tell the same thing over and over, or speak in a roundabout way. He just said:
"By the way, I liked it."
